friends....welcome to Kuching..meow

ahhh..its already the end of my end-of-posting holidays spent with my fellow friends from Semenanjung. we had a subtotal getaway (because we are pathetic beings who could not afford to miss gossiping and criticizing about our works and hospital even for a day..huhu)

Day 1
me and kakpah woke up at 8am and the VIPs planned to arive at 8.30am. (huaaa..panic, panic, panic at the disco). but we still able to take our time to do a rapid, super fast house cleaning. who are the VIPs?? kak dell, kak dija, kak meha, iqbal and pakcik. hurray..welcome...

AHHH..morning rise...start of a new day..
we had our breakfast at Kopi-O-Corner. for me it is a quite a nice place to have a breakfast that also serves local delicacies like kolok mee, Sarawak laksa and roti tuna mayonnaise. saliva drooolingsss..

accomodation?...its the courtesy from wani and pah's creepy villa (the best you can get in Pisang Road) and Hung-Hung Inn (where the XYs stayed). da di da di da after the check in thingy, we headed to our first stop :- Kampung Budaya....
but before that, time for stomach-filling activity again. Lunch at R&R Jalan Astana. we (me and pah) usually go there for lunch as they have variety of mouth-watering dishes there. plus Nasi beriani, Nasi Ayam and roti canai. eatable and affordable.

Kampung Budaya
frankly speaking, not worth it if you only spend 2hours to visit the place. RM60 per person (if you are not local and don't have the working or student pass) and visit the place which more or less like a Taman Mini Malaysia at Ayer Keroh, totally a waste of money. fun if you go with family and friendsss but imagine if i go with Kakpah only, i'll kill myself with boredom. sigh. but we found our hearthrob (consensus agreed, hands down); who is cute, strong, gentle, with a maggi-like hair that added to the cuteness. ahhhh..

kampung budaya (cultural village)
pakcik tengah practice nak dance kejap lagi
tarian melanau..ek ah

DAMAI
is define as a resort with a few acres of beaches at the back. not the best beach i've ever seen. but the nearest beach from Cat city. so no choice. wants to go to beach to relax yourself which is near to town, its Damai. at night we ate at the restaurant "bawah jambatan" (under the bridge of Sungai Sarawak, that goes to Petra Jaya). delicious. i lurve the chicken roasters there.

aktiviti mendamaikan hati yang kurang damai

Day2
Its shop till you drop time. We attacked waterfront main bazaar for souveniours. keychains, shirts, mugs, kain pua for family, relatives, friends, tok nyang, makcik Bedah, Wan Kesom sebelah rumah etc...Next on the list is the must buy stuff and you are not allowed to go home without it, layer cakes (kek lapis) Sarawak. we went to this place called Dayang kek lapis which is situated at kampung Boyan, at the other side of the river. can go there by boat from waterfront or by land to Kampung Gerisik.

lalala..row row row your boat, crossing Sarawak river.

sape yang makan ni memang kesian la. tukang tolong dia pun suspicious CTG je tengok. kek lapis masam manis jadi kek lapis ketiak masam. tutup hidung!

Picnic
i really don't know the name of the place but it is the garden next to Kuching Museum. its kind of like garden with graves scattered around. but it is such a nice garden but it just that its scary at the same time. we love to seek for attention so much that we decided to have our picnic there and we were really at the center of the garden viewable by the passersby and joggers.

ha..korang pernah ke picnic tengah2 alam macam ni??...kat kubur lagi tu. baru la rowk.

Steamboat is heaven
Steamboat at Heritage restaurant at Satok. the crabs with curry so tasty. the barbequed meats and chickens just saliva-induced. and the mushrooms are the best fungus ever. we also celebrated kak miha's birthday there with chocolate mud cake from Secret Recipe from Sarawak which do not have Apple crumble cheese cake. blurgh..

Steamboat is the best...

Day 3
initial plan was to go to Serikin was cancelled due to unfortunate event. hence, plan changed to Pasar Satok that never bores me. i love Pasar Satok. then, the end of the trip for them. by 3pm, everyone hugged and kissed goodbye and hoping that we will meet again someday.
BYE

but

but

but

maybe its the end of the holiday for them..
but not for us (me, kak pah and kak ainul)..
where did we go??
till next time..

the clue is..one of the biggest plan 2009
jeng jeng jeng..one of them accomplished..
