Zedzians rocked HK Shenzhen - When Johnny Depp finally met my parents
so the story continues
24th June 2012
3rd day of the trip. We were all tired from the fun that we had in Disneyland.
We received a message from our tour guide through the hotel receptionist.
It was sooooo Google translate.
His name was Peter and he would fetch us by 11am for city tour and Victoria peak tour.
So we took our sweet time to pack our things, enjoy our breakfast and we checked out from the hotel by 11am.
we toured with a coach van with another group of people? The other group was from Philippines. What was this? I wasn't happy.
I asked Peter since that we are this late, can we skip other places like the Jade museum and the Aberdeen fishing village and go to Victoria Peak straight away. He refused. Since he brought other group for city tour so he must be fair to other group too.
We were all disappointed with the service. Don't have him again for your tour guide!
First we went to Aberdeen fish village. It was the first place attacked during British invasion. We were kind of forced by Peter to take on the Sampan boat that cost us RM30/person. Yup it was fucking expensive. We took pictures at the famous floating restaurant where Jackie Chan once filmed Rush Hour there. Ooooo. (Me and Aman first comment on that restaurant - It could be Barati's Restaurant like in One Piece..hehehe)
Then.
So we went to this Jade/Jewellery shop. Which was sooo boring. Not that we want to buy any jewellery there. We were told about the fortune fan story and how it will bring luck in your life. Impressive that few of them can speak in bahasa Indonesia. We walked off quite early like after 10minutes. Seriously we had no idea why the Filipinos took so long inside the shop. We became impatient.
On the way, Peter told us a little bit about the city. But pehal lak tetibe cakap pasal Taxi pulak? In HongKong we have different colour of taxi. bla bla bla? What the hell. Talk la about the history of Hong Kong ka. The culture ka. He must be a taxi driver before he got this job. WORST
We arrived at Victoria Peak at around 1pm. We don't mind if we don't get into the tram train thingy because we can do that in Penang and the view? nothing much to see because it was about to rain and all that we could see was haze and cloud.
So, we told Peter. We want to go to Maddam Tussaud. We had fun!!! We took pictures with almost all the wax figure in there. Damn they look real.
We took about 2 hours in there making Peter felt uneasy. We didn't fucking care.
But Fuck Peter didn't allow us to have a little shopping outside the Victoria Galleria. Because he wanted to send those Filipinos to Disneyland and send us to train station to go to Shenzhen.
Damn you Peter!
We checked in at CAA Sun Holy Hotel. Like before we were given 3 rooms. But one thing that we really hate about the room was the bathroom..It was walled with glass!! it was transparent!!!...why la so sexy..and i do love my family but not to the extend want to see that naked in shower! duh
We had a very nice dinner at a Halal Chinese Restaurant. We ate as much as we can like hungry tigers.
At night we went shopping at Louhu Commercial Center. They said the bags etc are cheaper. I would say, quite. But again, for me who only shopped at Pasar malam or bundle clothing, i will think it was freaking expensive. Most of the people there can speak Bahasa (Indonesia) made the bargain much easier or the most that could say was "murah murah". We had a 1500yuan (RM750) worth of sweater to Rm 200. We are cheapskate and we like bargaining. We walked to Louhu which took about 15minutes wallking through subway. I pity my parents; ibu and also my brothers who must be very very tired of walking. But we made it through anyway.
Next day: - Window of the World, Disappointing a Senseh, Jade frenzy, and...a hidden secret shop...Shhh
