yatta!!!!...i made it..i watched it...
yeahhhhh....
at last...
L change the world is one of the most anticipating movies of 2008(other than dark knight and indiana jones, i can't wait for this one). those who called yourselves as die-hard-fan of death note movies,manga or anime, it is ashame if you still don't watch it. you should be one of those people who line up for the ticket early in the morning, camping a night before to line up during the premiere release. but.....exception for those people where their places don't have cinema or the cinema at their hometown is stupid enough not to show it at the premiere date..like me..
the synopsis
"After solving the Kira case, another serious one finds L and he has only 23 days left to solve it. A boy and a girl hold the key to solving the case and L faces a crisis of global magnitude to protect the kids. He is without his most trusted partner, Watari, and cannot rely on his superb intellect alone to solve the case. What will happen to L? What will change? The 23 days are packed with turns of events even L himself cannot predict."
but...before you all get sooooo excited...i have few warnings to you
1) don't get your expectation toooo high..
2) this is a movie mainly for L's fans..for fandom purposes i rather say...if you call yourself as L's biggest fan or kenichi matsuyama's fan..which you may have your bedroom full with L posters and magazine's cuts or you may have different kind of L figura, or you eat sweets like L does or maybe you change your name to Lawlita or Nur L but yet haven't watch this movie, you should be ashamed by now. or you should put your own name in the death note...
the good things about this movie..
this is a spin-off movie of the death note movie series mainly concentrating on L's remaining life. as shown at the end of the 2nd movie Death Note;the last name, L wrote his own name in the book and considered that as a "small sacrifices" in order to catch Kira. within 23days, he had solved all the "minor" cases that had been given to him and at the same time try to mourn for watari's death.
for those who loves L, you probably find this movie amusing as this time you can see other L's characters that you wish you can see..for example
1) can L stand straight?
2) can he run?
3) can he be a good brother? or father???..
4) can he survive alone without watari by his side?
5) is he a good athlete?
6) is he strong?
7) can he speaks other language beside japanese?
8) can i see him showering naked?????
all the questions can be answered after you watch the movie. except for the last question if you wish to see how sexy L is, i'm sorry you can't have it here. even i wish i can have the answer for the last question too(gomen ne..its the holiday's stroke..my mind become a lot hentai(pervert) these few weeks)..but those who are fangirlings about L then you may find everything that L does cute and adorable..like owwhhh look at him riding a bike..owwhhh look at him eating that chocolate..owwhh look at that, he strokes that kid's hair..i wish i was the kid
i wish i am that kid..so that he can touch me like that too...ahhh...gomen..i am so bitchy today

huh huh..*panting*.."i..saw..candy shop..with 50% discount sales..i must hurry"the unhappy things about this movie..
the storyline just so dull and boring..the way L solves the case not like L at all..even i can solve the problem..therefore, for those fanatic fans of Death Note manganime, you may find this very very disappointing and you may wish to sue the production company for making this movie..they maybe just "over" spin the story hence it is called as a spin-off movie...
this L used more physical powers rather than his brain powers. besides it was easy for L to know the culprit as shown in the movie and the rest of the time, he just babysitting the 2 kids with him. (he did quite a good job babysitting the kids until he lost the girl in the end)..the introduction of Near to the story was totally different from the manganime. i prefer Near in manganime. (the kid was weird but when he with L, he suddenly becomes adorable..L's aura i think)..the ending too was suck(ok everyone knows that L will eventually die) the way the case was settled was just plain boring. i wish they can have more drama. not all happy ending is good. but the part where L sent the thai kid to the institution and decided to name the kid Near was a bit touching. but i didn't cry.
wanna some?..you need lots of sugar so that your brain will work better..other things you should be wondering by now and the answers are in the movie

2) what is the role of amane misa in this movie?
3) will L use the death note and why?
4) does Kira's father, the police officer will also help L in this movie?
few complaints about the cinema.
since the show only available at GSC terminal 1, i have no other choice. the last time i went there maybe like 5 years ago..the seat was not comfortable at all especially for us (me and my brother) who have a big figure (its a gene thingy....and also home environment..too much well taken by our mom)..in the middle of the story, suddenly the sound disappeared for about 1 minute. luckily i didn't scream and try to call the manager out. i managed to maintain my cool. the kids (maybe SPM leavers) made noise and create a little attention for a while. i hope this will be the last time i go to that cinema..huh..
so..lastly if you ask me whether it is worth it to watch this movie?
i would say..i want my RM3 back (the ticket costs RM6..early birds price)..and that RM3 i will use it to buy the pirated dvd and watch together with my family who haven't watch it.
how many stars out of 5??..i'll give 2stars..
