slumdog millionaire

for your information, i am post call. i am tired. but kak pah is the one who is really sleepy right now. (sape yang post call sebenarnye??) but i just can't wait to watch this award-winning movie. slumdog millionaire. i watched the trailer few days ago after knowing that it won the Golden Globe Award

1st of all, if you think this movie like a very typical Indian movies with dances, and songs and people changing clothes 6-7times just to dance to 1 song. sorry to disappoint you. this movie has a very impressive cinematography. nice pictures, nice story.

The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika,(ehh..rathika??..ngeh..ngeh) the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show's questions. Each chapter of Jamal's increasingly layered story reveals where he learned the answers to the show's seemingly impossible quizzes. But one question remains a mystery: what is this young man with no apparent desire for riches really doing on the game show? When the new day dawns and Jamal returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out. At the heart of its storytelling lies the question of how anyone comes to know the things they know about life and love"

hence, i would like to call upon all readers and viewers, family and friends to watch this great movie. despite of few things that really bothers me, overall, it is a great movie to watch. but in term of how truthful the movie is to show the real life of Indian (maybe specifically of Indian Muslims) in India, i really don't know. few moral of the story that can be learned from here.

1) don't sacrifice yourself by drowning yourself in the pool of shitssss just to get Amitabh Bachan's autograph (mintakla autograph hugh jackman ke, paul walker ke....etc) and this act is seriously not recommended to those housemen who desperately trying to get MOs signature to sign their logbooks. don't do this at home.

2) love your brothers. love your siblings. in the end, you may realize that they are the only one that you can really rely on.

3) don't ever get caught in the circle of violence, evil, gangsters and mafia because you will hardly get out from it. hence religion and in depth knowledge about your religion may save you.

4) never underestimate yourself. don't ever give up in yourself and always act optimist in everything you do. as you will never know that maybe it's written in your destiny

5) read the three musketeers book. maybe it may help you in winning 20million rupees.

6)be a good muslim. this movie not potrait the real act of a good muslim. holding hands and hugging between people of difference gender is prohibited in Islam, nevertheless kissing.

HAPPY WATCHING EVERYONE. i'm off to sleep now.
