The one with the Ramblings

Can be considered as impromptu decision by my father. Better now before I get my transfer back and when the ticket is cheap (RM10 Air Asia). Arrived on 24th June, hang around Sibu for a day and to Kapit the next day for 2 days. Exciting? They said, it will be their first and last. Hehe. In Sibu, we checked in at Tanahmas, very comfortable and pleasant. Where to hang out in Sibu? Showed them the Night Market which I love (Love any kind of night markets anyway), then the Central Market in the morning, Sibu Heritage Centre; to learn a bit of history of Sibu, to Wisma Sanyan; the tallest building, showed them the cinema where I often go, and just walked around Sibu. Tiring but interesting. The most anticipating yet nerve-wrecking experience my parents were looking into was the boat ride. They thought it would make them sea sick and vomit all the way. And the idea of 3 hours ride is something they not fond of. But....in the end, it was nothing. No one vomit. No one fainted. Most of us slept...

Raya!!!!!!!!!! Seperti raya sebelum ni, duit dalam akaun aku akan turun mendadak. Disebabkan these evil minions. Few things too highlight about this raya. Actually lots of things. 1) cuti seminggu mmg tak berbaloi. one whole day dah habis utk travel SAHAJA. 3hours dlm boat. 45minutes dalam taxi and 2hours 15min dlm plane. pastu 1hour dlm kete. sampai2 dah penat. hai. lain kali balik kene mintak lebih sket. tapi still bersyukur. tak seperti mereka yang lain yang kerje di waktu raya terutamanya yg kat semenanjung. huhu. sape suh tak keje kat sabah sarawak. 2) Beraya di rumah baru!!!...a bit weird in the beginning. sebab dah 25 tahun kat rumah lama, bile dah buat rumah baru, rasa lain sket. not feeling homie YET. Suke rumah baru. tapi merindui rumah lama. I miss the squeaking sounds of the floor once you step on it. the smell of the wooden walls. every little memories in it. 3) Mama has improved a lot...she can walk now with few steps and her words make more sense...congratz mama..keep i...

i experienced my first medivac ride yesterday. Thank God i made it. At first the feeling was...mixed. Excited, happy, nauseated, worried and then blank. I sent a text message to my close friends, and to know how they feel for me who is about to embark into a awesome scary journey. "Mama knows how to hook her bra!!!" As usual i took Mama for her bath today. She is now more independent. Likes to take her own bath and brush her own teeth. Which took twice as long. Therefore, she doesn't like bath because it was to tiring for her. Since the stroke, she doesn't wear her bra as she is housebound. But today, since we are going to have this little 'kenduri' or party, she decided to wear one. Little of my knowledge there are few types of bra. And Mama's is the one where the hook is at the front. I never have one. Mine will be the normal plain ordinary not fancy boring not sofisticated bra. So, i tried to help her to hook that but with difficulty. As if it has this super trick to put them together More complicated than the rubiks. i love having conversations with kids i went out with my nephews few days ago to watch Toy Story 3 (it was beyond awesome). It was me with my brothers and 2 of my nephews (my cousin's sons to be more precise). Nazran is 5years old and Najib 8 years old. Nazran is the naughty one. Talkative and very very active. Our trip (me and my brother) started after we watched the Argentina's victory against Korea. We took a bus from Kuching departed at 10pm. I could not really tell about the journey as i was sleeping through out the journey. Happily over Argentina's win. We arrived at Sibu's bus station earlier than expected. 5am. Then, we straight away went to the jetty. We took the earliest boat to Kapit which was at 545am. Then another 3hours trip to Kapit. There are 2 seats; 1st class is the one with air-conditioner and it was RM 30 and the other one is without and it cost RM 25. They showed Prince of Persia and I collapsed half way. Sometimes, if you are lucky, maybe they show porn in the boat. Kapit Like I said, it was a busy town with disproportionate numbers of cars, and people. Since we both were really tired from the longgggg journey, we quickly find a nearest hotel to check in. Don't aspect to find Hilton or Grand Continental even. We found new Rejang Inn. Funny thing happened today with Mama Even though she is now able to move her right hand (the weak hand), she still have the expressive dysphasia (which means she understands everything you say but having difficulty in saying it out). There are times that we could not really understand what she wanted hence we guess. Up till now, we are doing pretty well. Today, my uncle bought satay for all of us. I fed Mama with rice and masak asam and she really liked them. She ate few spoonfuls! But she did not want the satay. "Dah...Dah!!" and pushed the plate away from her and forced me to eat them instead. While I was spoon-feeding Mama, Shaggy; our cat was at my feet, begging me for the satay. I kicked her away. Suddenly, after all that, Mama asked for the satay. We gave it to her and after we cut the meat smaller, she said something like "me...raa..maa''. We couldn't understand.
